John Calvin would be 504 years old!
He was born July 10, 1509 in the Picardy
 region of France.

“Bien que les étoiles ne parlent pas, même en étant silencieux, ils crient.” John Calvin

(
wish I had this book under my belt like my husband does)

AND

Camille Pissaro
(1830-1903) was born this day in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands.

" Pissarro was also known for his teaching skills: Mary Cassatt reportedly said that “He could teach a stone to draw.”

You can read about him here.

“Leisure”
by William Henry Davies (1871-1940)
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
